What happens to the card after you scan it?
A box of duplicates is a different project from a binder you intend to keep. That is the useful starting point for Collectr vs LUDEX. We would begin with Collectr for a long-term TCG inventory, and LUDEX when the next step is preparing cards for sale on eBay.
Imagine sorting a mixed box on a Sunday afternoon. Make three piles first: keep, trade and sell. The right app should make the next action obvious. A collection total is useful for the keep pile; a clear route to a listing matters much more for the sell pile.
LUDEX gives the sell pile a destination.
LUDEX’s documented flow starts with a photo, then a check of the identified card and its price history. You can correct the parallel or set a custom price before saving the card or moving toward an eBay listing.
Its FAQ puts the account connection under More, then Integrations. Once eBay is connected, open a card, choose Sell Item, review its details and publish the listing. That connection is the strongest reason to shortlist LUDEX for clearing duplicates.
Treat the generated listing as a starting point. Inspect the physical copy, photograph its corners and surface, and make the condition description specific. Keep listed cards in a separate box with a location you can find when one sells. This is the part of a selling routine worth organizing before the listings go up.

Collectr is the stronger starting point for the keep pile.
Collectr’s scanner identifies a candidate set and variant, then lets you save quantity and condition. Its portfolio tools group raw cards, graded copies and sealed products, with bulk moves between portfolios and filters for game and product type.
For a full collection, make the digital structure match the shelves: one portfolio for the personal binder, another for trades, another for sealed boxes. Collectr’s bulk actions suit that kind of reorganization. LUDEX’s web collection manager instead offers custom lists with grid or binder views and a route from owned cards to eBay.
Whichever you choose, finish one physical section before starting another. Reconcile the saved quantities against the cards in front of you. It is easier to fix a missing duplicate while the page is still open than after several boxes have been put away.

Games and language editions: check the actual binder.
Collectr’s scanner page names Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana, Flesh and Blood and Digimon. LUDEX’s iOS description names Pokémon, Magic and VeeFriends alongside sports including baseball, basketball, football and soccer.
Collectr shows EN, JP and CN catalogue filters. Those filters help separate editions; they are not a measured camera-recognition result for every set. LUDEX’s checked official pages do not enumerate card-language editions, so Japanese or Chinese Pokémon needs an exact-card check before you commit a binder.
Choose a small sample containing the editions you own, including repeated artwork and foils. Confirm the set number, language and finish in each saved record. Changing an app’s menu language is a separate setting from identifying a Japanese printed card.

The cost changes when scanning becomes an inventory.
On September 30, 2026, Collectr PRO is US$7.99 monthly or US$59.99 annually, including unlimited scanning and export. LUDEX’s published monthly plans are Lite at US$4.99, Standard at US$9.99 and Pro at US$24.99. Lite covers one sport or TCG category; Standard opens all categories.
LUDEX’s current iOS description offers unlimited free scans but limits the saved collection to 60 cards. Its web membership table shows 200 monthly free scans. Use the offer presented in your app when choosing a plan; the 60-card inventory ceiling is the key consideration for a whole binder.
For one category, Lite may cover the inventory you want. For a collection spanning several sports and TCGs, compare Standard with Collectr PRO against your actual holdings. Paying for a selling allowance only makes sense if listing cards is part of your routine.

CSV export makes Standard a different proposition from Lite.
LUDEX’s June 15 export guide confirms CSV downloads for active Standard and Pro members. Free and Lite accounts are excluded. Sign in at collections.ludex.com, open Settings, find Export Collection and confirm the download.
The file includes identifying details, parallel, grading information, condition, the LUDEX estimate and any custom price. It contains text data rather than card images. Collectr places its own collection export in PRO.
Before a large cataloguing session, save a few representative cards and inspect an export. Check how the details you care about appear in a spreadsheet, then keep a dated backup. Being able to take the records elsewhere is a practical reason to pay; it also gives you a useful checkpoint before reorganizing everything.

What has changed recently?
The checked iOS listings show Collectr 2.5.8 and LUDEX 2.0.3. Collectr’s notes cover saved trades, sharing links, grade comparisons and camera-flash fixes. LUDEX’s September 1 release notes describe general reliability and interface improvements.
For this comparison, LUDEX’s documented web CSV workflow is the more concrete feature to investigate. If you previously ruled it out because you needed a spreadsheet backup, Standard and Pro have an official export route to consider.

Collectr vs LUDEX: your questions.
Is Collectr or LUDEX better for a full collection?
Start with Collectr for a multi-game TCG portfolio. Consider LUDEX for a collection combining sports cards and TCGs, especially when selling duplicates is a regular task.
Is LUDEX free for scanning?
Its current iOS description lists unlimited free scans and storage for 60 cards. Check the in-app offer, because the website still publishes a different scanning allowance.
Can I export LUDEX to a spreadsheet?
Yes. Active Standard and Pro members can download a CSV through the web collection manager. Lite and Free do not include that export.
Does LUDEX list cards on eBay?
Yes. Connect eBay through Integrations, then review the card and listing details before publishing.
Which app should I choose for Japanese Pokémon?
Collectr documents a Japanese catalogue filter. Check your exact cards in the scanner before committing a collection; LUDEX’s checked sources do not enumerate supported card-language editions.
